More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

Why House Democrats Might Kill Obama's Big Trade Deal

WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama's international trade agenda is dead in the water if he doesn't do a better job engaging with Democrats in Congress, and his administration appears to be getting that message, Democrats said Friday.

Congressional Democrats have often been frustrated by his lack of attention to their concerns, but they've been especially disturbed lately that in his grand pivot to Asia and push for a 12-nation trade pact dubbed the Trans-Pacific Partnership, they and the rest of Congress largely have been cut out of negotiations.

"We want transparency. We want to see what's going on there," House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) told reporters. "We have a problem with that."

As a result, many Democrats fear the actual terms of the deal do not reflect traditional Democratic Party policy priorities.

A caller identified herself as someone who's dozen "hundreds" of traffic studies.  Paraphrasing the money comment:

No one does traffic studies like that.  If you shut down traffic, there's no way you're going to get accurate traffic figures.  It only makes sense.

If you stop traffic before you conduct your traffic study, you have nothing to study. Maybe THAT'S why traffic studies are not conducted that way.

Springfield NJ by the Port Authority to do a "traffic study" there would be a request for funding on file, and it should delineate if that study would cover Fort Lee and in what capacity.

If the Port Authority granted an award for a"traffic study" in Fort Lee, NJ for September, there should also be the same required paperwork, abstract, principal researcher, and costs in the RFF.  It should have a paper trail and reviews and names of those who moved the grant along.

I have never known a government agency to not require copious amounts of paperwork detailing what you want a government grant for, months, if not years, in advance of the grant and study.

If there was not, and Chris Christie and Fox News are positive this was an approved "traffic study", the question about the unauthorized distribution of government funds without proper approval arises.
