The House Majority PAC will be responding to months-long attacks by the Koch brother's Americans for Prosperity against Reps. Ann Kirkpatrick (D-AZ) and Ron Barber (D-AZ), spending $200,000 to begin countering the $650,000 AFP has spent against them.
HMP is launching a positive spot for Kirkpatrick that emphasizes her Arizona ties and her work to fix the law. [...]AFP has already spent something like $3.5 million against Democrats in eight House districts, including these two, with ads that started back in October. House Majority PAC raised $7.5 million in 2013, and will use it primarily to counter Koch attacks around the country. Andy Stone, the PAC's spokesperson, told Politico, "House Majority PAC is committed to combating the efforts of the Koch Brothers and their right-wing allies, who are already stepping up to spend unprecedented sums in House races to promote their reckless agenda."
In Barber’s district, HMP is launching an ad attacking his likely Republican opponent, retired Air Force colonel and 2012 nominee Martha McSally, as a proponent of the “reckless agenda” pushed by the Kochs.
