The Mind is a Wonderful Thing to Waste, or how Obama changed the tone about marijuana.
In an interview with the New Yorker's David Remnick published Sunday, Obama said while he believes marijuana is "not very healthy," the drug isn't as harmful as some insist.
“As has been well documented, I smoked pot as a kid, and I view it as a bad habit and a vice, not very different from the cigarettes that I smoked as a young person up through a big chunk of my adult life. I don’t think it is more dangerous than alcohol,"

Sooooo, Mr. President, what about all those teens who lost jobs, schooling, careers, and their freedom, while they sit behind bars because of a doobie? Got any plans on how to fix that mess?
From the Church of Ineffable Stupidity:
As science goes, Obama is STILL not correct about marijuana. It has many medical uses, and is far less dangerous than alcohol. Still, little steps, eventual gains.

There are many indigestible items manufactured by Krapt Foods, including this artificially yellow substance they call Velveeta Cheeselike Heart Attack Inducing Gel. Actually, they may just call it Velveeta, but I am unsure about that.
About two weeks ago, Krapt Foods decided that Velveeta sales were tanking as consumers seemed to prefer real cheese products, and healthier alternatives. So Krapt Foods concocted a faux shortage, hoping that desperate Supper Bowel fans would rush out and stock up in time for the big game. That lousy plan failed, and now reality has come to bite Krapt Foods in the ass.
NEW YORK (AP) — A food maker is recalling some Kraft Velveeta pasta and ground beef products because some labels left off soy, an allergen, as an ingredient.
About 1.77 million pounds of Kraft Velveeta Cheesy Skillets Singles Ultimate Cheeseburger Mac are being recalled. They contain hydrolyzed soy protein and dried soy sauce. Those ingredients were not listed on some labels.

Duplicating an almost ignored finding in Peru, and possibly in Columbia, 13 elongated human skulls were found in a cenote (deep water hole) in Mexico. It has caused a stir among archeologists, who wonder if this is some lost subspecies of humans.
A flooded sinkhole in southern Mexico that terrifies local villagers has just been explored by underwater archaeologists, who found the submerged cavern littered with elongated skulls and human bones. The underwater cavern, known as Sac Uayum, is a cenote located in Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. A cenote is a natural pit resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater underneath. They were sometimes used by the ancient Maya for sacrificial offerings.
Sac Uayum sits just outside the ruins of the ancient Maya city of Mayapán, about 40 kilometres south of Mérida, the capital of the Mexican state of Yucatán. Mayapán was a major political centre from the 12th to the 15th century AD and contained a city enclosed within a stone wall. Within the city walls, there were around 40 cenotes which would have served as vital sources of water for the 17,000 residents and may have even been the reason for the city to have been built there.

One scientist insists that infant skulls were tied and pressed to form such shapes, but these skulls are too long and show no signs of such pressing having taken place.

Tricks of Lights and Shadow.
The mind is a wonderful thing to waste, and sometimes, we make things up to fill in the blanks. (actually pretty often. This is how ancient religions came into being)
Scientists and researchers checking out the moon and mars are especially careful to avoid having their brains create faces, pyramids, and more on the surface. But, 90 degree angles simply do not exist in nature, and even if they did, they would not have 7 lights attached.
A mystery object spotted on the surface of the moon has sent conspiracy theorists into overdrive. The bizarre wedge-shaped structure with rows of seven light-like dots along its edge appears on the lunar surface.
It was discovered on the Google Moon viewer at coordinates 22042'38.46N and 142034'44.52E.
Speculation has exploded over the images of the anomaly that UFO websites have likened to an alien lunar base or spaceship.
There are also theories that it is an alien spaceship nestled under the dust of the moon or even a secret moon base occupied by humans. The two-sided, triangular feature was uncovered by paranormal researcher WowForReeel and posted in a new video.
Check out the closer view. The more you look at it, the weirder this thing is.
(Oh noes! Did I just commit a Conspiracy Faux pas? )
What the HELL is this thing?

Last week, I wrote about that weird trash that appeared in a photo from Mars. Well, it has only gotten stranger.
One scientist (without giving his name) that it was highly unlikely that this rock was dislodged by the Mars rover. Its location, size, and shape make that almost impossible.
A mysterious rock which appeared in front of the Opportunity rover is "like nothing we've ever seen before", according to Mars exploration scientists at Nasa. Experts said they were "completely confused" by both the origins and makeup of the object, which is currently being investigated by Opportunity's various measuring instruments.
Astronomers noticed the new rock had "appeared" without any explanation on an outcrop which had been empty just days earlier. The rover has been stuck photographing the same region of Mars for more than a month due to bad weather, with scientists at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in California monitoring the images it sends.
Nasa issued a Mars status report entitled "encountering a surprise", and lead Mars Exploration rover scientist Steve Squyres told a JPL event it seems the planet literally "keeps throwing new things at us".
Mars Attacks!
So what the hell is this thing? Meteorite? Hah. The chances that a meteor would land so effing close to the rover are infinitesimal. Dislodged by the rover's wheels? Uh uh, sure, so big and landing there? I think not. I still think that aliens are funning' with us. Hey, they like rocks, let's give them one to confuse them!
