The way some people have been carrying on you'd think that Richard Sherman was Oscar Pistorious or something. The frigging media! O how I despise talking heads!
This week we should have been hearing about his great, athletic, intelligent play which gave Seahawks the win. We should be talking about him being a Stanford graduate; a guy who took graduate courses while still doing his undergraduate degree. We should have been talking about his giving back to his community and his foundation. Instead he is being described as, " thug," "n****r," "low life" "loudmouth."
Yes, black guy plays his heart out on the field, shows passion, cares about the game and people sitting on their asses complaining about what he should not have said.
Pray tell, what the hell did he say that was so earth shatteringly offensive? Give me a freaking break already! Anybody remember the petulance and tantrums of John McEnroe and Jimmy Connors? Anybody seeing what happens in a hockey game? Anyone?
Official Charity of Richard Sherman
Its goal is to help as many kids as possible have adequate School supplies and clothes.
To that end:
Now the audio has been released from the last encounter with Crabtree on Sunday and it shows, as he said it would, that despite being all pumped up Sherman was doing the classy thing with no hint of sarcasm. He put out his hand, demonstrating a level of maturity and sportsmanship, and said, "Good game."
Seems to me that there's a lot some of these haters could learn from this young man. For the others, well...there's just no hope for them. We'll just leave them to stew in their own hate and jealousy.
Go Seahawks!! Go Richard!!
