My wife just came home from the cardiac intensive care unit at WakeMed yesterday .She was at her primary care doc's office having a base line EKG done because of some fainting spells she had and her heart rate spiked to 250/min.The doc transferred her to local emergency room who than transferred her to wakeMed.While at WakeMed her heart started to fail and it was touch an go for a while. Now we are waiting for the avalanche of bills we know are coming.I just changed jobs and hadn't had enough time to activate cobra but was in the process before this incident and hope there will be no loop holes and my old insurance pays this claim which they said on the phone they should once premiums are paid but still leaves us very unsure for our futures. We as Americans shouldn't have to live in fear of losing everything due to a unforeseen event. My wife took good care of herself great diet and exercise quit smoking a year ago we did everything right or as close to right as you can.The problem turned out to be a nerve misfiring causing the irregular heart beat , her dad had same thing 10 years ago .
