Politico has a relatively new piece on Governor Christie that describes his early years in NJ politics. For most Daily Kos readers the article will not be news but there are a couple of interesting facts I felt were worthy of mention.
1. I had forgotten that he was dumped off the ballot in his first attempt at elected office in a lawsuit over the necessary signatures of registered voters in the district. Not only did he get signatures from people outside the district but many were not even Republicans.
2. The slate he and a friend challenged on his third race contains a name that may well come back to haunt him. Michael Patrick Carroll a staunch conservative Republican is now one of the four Republicans on the Bridgegate committee. (Paybacks are hell)
3. Christie ran that race as a "pro-choice" candidate.
4. Politico ran this article.
For the first time I am beginning to believe that his days of thinking he might be POTUS might be finished. When Politico has an article that describes you as a "pro-choice", pro-gun control and a bully you are in trouble in a Republican primary.
