Shown above: 1950 Kaiser Virginian. Kaiser Motors was founded by Henry J. Kaiser in 1945 and produced cars until 1953.
Shown above: 1950 Crosley Model CD Sedan. The Crosley Corporation manufactured automobiles intermittently from 1939 to 1952. Industrialist Powel Crosley, Jr., owner of Crosley Broadcasting Corporation and the Cincinnati Reds baseball team, had plans to build subcompact cars. Crosley was the first automobile company to use the term “Sport Utility.”
Shown above: 1951 Studebaker Champion. The Studebaker Champion, first introduced in 1939, was one of Studebaker’s best-selling models. The Champion was phased out in 1958.
Shown above: 1951 Hudson Hornet. The Hudson Hornet was introduced in 1951 and produced through 1954. The car featured a step-down floorpan and a chassis with a lower center of gravity.
