Has Ken Langone called the new pope a Nazi yet? He clearly believes it.
This was
well-
covered by you guys back in January, but it bears repeating in light of recent news.
So to recap, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's BFF Republican, billionaire Ken "Hitler" Langone, is outraged that liberals are fighting income disparity. Of course, both Langone and Cuomo are trying to move past this mess with bullshit fake apologies, but Langone will never reject his Hitler analogy. This is a guy who's tried to boss around the pope, after all!
You see, Hitler Langone is trying to buy his way into heaven, given he's probably not getting in on the merits. But even that self-serving philanthropy has limits, and he and his country club pals aren't going to keep writing checks to the church if the pope doesn't stop standing up for the poor.
In an interview on CNBC on Monday, Home Depot founder and devout Catholic Ken Langone said that the Pope’s statements about capitalism have left many potential “capitalist benefactors” wary of donating to the Church or its fundraising projects.
According to Langone, an anonymous, “potential seven-figure donor” for the Church’s restoration of St. Patrick’s Cathedral is concerned that the Pope’s criticism of capitalism are “exclusionary,” especially his statements about the “culture of prosperity” leading to the wealthy being “incapable of feeling compassion for the poor.”
Langone said he’s raised this issue with Cardinal Timothy Dolan, who yesterday praised Pope Francis for “shattering the caricature of the Church.”
You know who else threatened people by pretending to "know a guy" who might theoretically write a "potential" check for an undetermined but theoretically large amount, but then had second thoughts about his vaporware fantasy donation because his fee fees were hurt?
Hitler. Probably.
