If you support labor unions and collective bargaining, you may shed a special tear for James Rebhorn, the highly recognizable and talented character actor who died this week after a battle with cancer.
Rebhorn wrote his own obituary in the third person, and he ended it with thanks to the labor unions he belonged to in his career:
Jim was fortunate enough to earn his living doing what he loved. He was a professional actor. His unions were always there for him, and he will remain forever grateful for the benefits he gained as a result of the union struggle.
Class act to the end. He will live on in the thoughts of his friends and family, and in the numerous movies he made. RIP, sir.
