Standard disclaimer: Leave your loathing of meta, World of Warcraft, or community diaries outside. If you think we should be playing your MMO instead, start a guild and write a recruitment diary. Don't leave a comment here and then get all hurtful when it isn't received with flowers and candy. This goes double for people coming in to attack guildies over other diaries or comments - STAY OUT! Link to your recruitment diary is OK though. |
Standard advertisement: Wreck List is the Daily Kos World of Warcraft guild. We are Horde-side on the Garrosh server. To join, read this diary and visit the Guild web site to put in an application. Yes, you have to be Horde. No, you don't have to be hardcore - casuals, PvPers, and people that just want to hang out on guild chat are all welcome. |
More below the fold:
I know I'm nearly a week late to the party, but I wanted to give a shoutout to our guildie Suluca for getting honored by the NAACP.
I couldn't just let it go by without acknowledging the work and support she's put in with us as well. I know it's not much compared to the NAACP, but thank you, Suluca.
Well, looks like Team Z is getting through Siege of Orgrimmar, but I'll let Tvath tell you about it and about Saturday Night Massacre:
Saturday Night Massacre:
I only started playing right around the time Pandaria dropped, so there are a lot of old raids I've never done. So on "my" Saturdays, I'm leading a series of visits to the Outland raids, with the idea that I and others can pick up the Outland Raider achievement.
This week we visited Magtheridon's Lair, which was a quick raid even back in the day, and we had the big ol' pit lord down in a very few minutes. Then it was onward to the Caverns of Time for the Battle for Mt. Hyjal. The key ability in this raid is being able to count to eight, as the adds come in eight waves before each boss. I really enjoyed this one -- some interesting use of landscape and there was this one gargoyle who died so fast that he sat there in midair, sparkling at us but unable to be looted.
Team Z update:
We got Nazgrim! Hooray! This despite our hunter Cognosi being out (the noble and presumably delicious Vanillapie came along as a sub, for which we are grateful). We then took a few pulls at Malkorok, with our esteemed guild founder Moodyloner helping out after Bipolarbear had to go. It's a challenging fight but still feels easier than Nazgrim and Dark Shamans. If we can get a full team next week we may have good news from that.
BUT, we're halfway there! (Whoa-oh, livin' on a prayer!)
Also, this week marks one year since Team Z (official name: Zen and the Art of Ritual Disembowelment) began raiding. What a great ride it's been! I've gotten to know some wonderful people and had a lot of fun, and I hope they've had fun too. Because that's what it's about.

Happy anniversary, Team Zen and the Art of Ritual Disembowelment. Good to raid with you.
That's all I have this week. For the Horde!
