Actually, I probably should have just left off the "em" in the title.
Anyway, with that said, I usually don't write short diaries but the article it's based on is short -- and everyone around here already knows enough about David Gregory.
BOSTON (AP) -- A Boston Marathon bombing survivor says in a tweet that she left a Boston television studio in tears before a taping of NBC's "Meet the Press."
Dancer Adrianne Haslet-Davis lost her left foot in the bombing and said Friday she asked the national news program not to mention the suspect's name but the show used it.
Evidently, NBC News spokeswoman Erika Masonhall told the AP that given the nature of the roundtable discussion Meet the Press couldn't give her that guarantee. She regrets any distress caused by the "miscommunication."
She says the NBC News president left a voicemail for Haslet-Davis apologizing for the confusion.
Apparently, NBC also left a message seeking comment with a representative for Haslet-Davis.
Listen, in my eyes, Gregory has no excuse. She was doing him a favor by appearing on his show. This was a case of Haslet-Davis requesting nothing more than a common courtesy from Gregory, who ultimately didn't see the need to be courteous. Other news outlets have done it.
In fact, around the time of the bombing, CNN's Anderson Cooper banned the names of the brothers throughout all his shows... and he did many shows on the subject.
David Gregory doesn't deserve the MTP platform.
Apparently, he has no heart either.
