I started to write when I had a 46 pants size( which was tight) to a size 32 regular fit which I am today. I went from weighing over 300 lbs to less than 200 lbs. It took a little less than 2 years. Part of that time I was not eating as I should.
I never went on a diet, had surgery, or anything close. I studied and asked questions and followed what smart people said worked .They were right! Now free Of charge I will share a few things that helped the weakest man you will ever meet loose well over 100 lbs.
You have to want to loose weight. Not for anyone but yourself. Throw away your bathroom scale. Judge how your doing by your pants or dress size. You are going into a life style change for the rest of your life. I would eat every time I was stressed. I learned to take a walk instead. Never say you can work out all day so you can eat anything. I worked out all the time. One pound is 3,500 calories! I run hard for 3 hours a day and I burn maybe 1,300 to 1,400 calories a day. I would never tell you to run 3 hours a day! I sometimes run 4 or 5 hours but I am training for a marathon.
Your Diet is 80% of what is important in loosing weight. Exercise is a must of course and it will help keep the weight off. Try to walk 20 minutes. Experts say nothing really happens good for your body unless you can do 20 minutes with a faster heart rate. You should be able to talk while you exercise, if you can”t, slow down! walk at least 3 days a week and in time go for 5 days a week. Things like push ups and sit ups should be done on opposite days.
Don”t do the same exercise all the time. Fool your body. At first, work out in the morning.That”s hard for some. It will help burn calories faster and life won”t get in the way. If you try and work out at night, sleep might become an issue. Your body needs to unwind. Learn from all the mistakes I made!
I bet most of you drink orange juice. How about turning the bottle over and look at the sugar in it! If you want Vitamin C,buy an orange. Never buy orange juice or sugar water as I like to call it. When you eat., eat as slowly as you can. I was told once I ate as if a thief was going to steal my food. Try and order smaller portions, its a lot to throw at you but dream about the new you.
When I get hungry, I eat an apple,drink lots of water. water will make you feel full. The day will come when you won”t eat meat anymore. It will make you feel bloated. Soon people will start telling you how great you look. You should hope you loose 2 pounds a week. If people promise more, you will gain it all back.
I am a big believer in talking to your doctor about an E.K.G. and taking a stress
test BEFORE you start exercising. Experts say everyone over 40 should do this.
A few days ago,a 35 year old healthy woman went into cardiac arrest after
running a short race. She is still alive,but is still in the hospital.
I have had three stress tests over the years.
Running is like a drug to me,I stretch and listen to my body,if it says stop, I stop.
