Received this e-mail today from Charlie Crist's (D. FL) gubernatorial campaign:
There is nothing more important to long-term job growth in Florida than good schools.
So while I'm glad to see that the Florida legislature passed a bipartisan budget last night, I'm deeply concerned about the low level of funding for education.
We can fix this. Rick Scott should use his line-item veto and judge every single pork project by one test: Would this money be better spent helping Florida's children?
Join me in calling on Scott to go through the budget and use his veto to cut the pork so we can re-invest in our kids.

We have $2.5 billion in new revenues this year -- so why is our 2014 budget spending $189 less per student than my last pre-recession budget?
Scott needs to take a knife to that budget, cut out the irresponsible spending, and put that money to good use.
Add your name to demand that Scott take responsibility for the future of Florida and restore funding to our schools:

God bless you,
