Once in awhile I read a story that feels like a stab in the heart - today's story in the Milwaukee Journal is such a story. A federal judge, appointed by Papa Bush, has ordered a Wisconsin "John Doe" probe into campaign law violations involving Scott Walker's 2012 recall campaign and The Club for Growth to be halted and, incredibly, all related documents obtained by the prosecutors to be destroyed.
The ruling is almost certain to be appealed and it's likely to be overturned by the Circuit Court of Appeals. But then it's time for the Supremes to hear the case and we all know how five of those guys feel about campaign finance laws.
