Are President Obama's approval numbers improving?
Granted, this is from Rasmussen, not exactly a pollster with one of the best track records. However, you might note that, even from a Republican pollster whose polling has been sketchy in the past (usually in favor of Republicans), their daily tracking poll is some welcome good news. It shows the president with a 50 percent approval rating and a 48 percent disapproval rating.

That's the first time in a long time that he's had a net favorable rating and been at or above 50 percent.
Rasmussen also reported on Monday that their polling shows Democrats taking a lead from Republicans in the generic Congressional ballot, with 41 percent preferring Democrats and 37 percent Republicans.

This surprised me so much, it made me want to go to Gallup to see what they are finding. Unfortunately, their numbers are different, showing the president with a 45 percent approval and 50 percent disapproval rating, though that's a two percent improvement for the president.
Both pollsters show the president trending upward as far as his popularity. Hopefully, this is the start of a resurgence in support for the president leading into this fall's tough election season. If so, it's just what Democrats might need to try to help bolster our position.
Now...if the economy could pick up a little steam over the next few months...
