There's been a lot of noise about misandry recently, so I thought I'd contribute my experiences of and with same. I'm a 67 year old male who has lived and worked in a wide variety of environments and have been exposed to a wide cross section of society, so follow me below the orange dingbat for my experiences in this area.
This will be a short diary, because I have never seen or experienced, in 67 years, in all types of environments, anything remotely resembling misandry, which I therefore classify with unicorns, not conceptually impossible, but certainly not known to exist.
To clarify, I use an empirical, evidence based definition not based on whether I think I am receiving the adoration, adulation, respect and deference to which I am seemingly supposed to feel naturally entitled as a male, but real evidence.
Misandry - operational definitions:
1) A guy is hanging around, walking, loafing, working, eating, reading, alone or with others in or at any venue or location minding his own damn business and one or more women come up and gratuitously attack him verbally or physically simply for being a human male.
I have never experienced, heard, seen or heard from a credible witness that they experienced, heard, or saw such an event.
2) A guy is, as above, minding his own business and one or more women gratuitously begin hitting on him, with or without unsolicited groping, and refuse to stop when told that it is unwelcome and unpleasant.
I have never experienced, heard, seen or heard from a credible witness that they experienced, heard, or saw such an event.
So that's it, end of story. Misandry is simply phantom bullshit, an expression of some feeling of being neglected and disrespected because one is not sufficiently exalted and lusted after according to one's view of one's merit.
