The video was taken in March but this upload occurred today. There is slightly more information on the video site but not much.
And I'm aware this is not the extreme sadistic abuse that people like Kelly Thomas suffered. But it is incidents like this that progress into the mad dog pile ons that that incident exemplifies.
The video opens with a man on the ground in cuffs with a police officer screaming obscenities and slurs at him while punching him. Of course I'm certain that our unconstitutional police attitude of citizens are the enemy means supervisors, judges, and prosecutors see nothing wrong with beating someone in custody.
At the end of the video the videographer asks the officers why the man was kicked and pepper sprayed, which I could not see. But the viewers can clearly see an officer punching a handcuffed subject on the ground. This is not acceptable.
Reminder:it is not the police's job to punish. Under ANY circumstances. No matter the reason for arrest or even if the subject was combative in being arrested. Once the officer has taken custody the care of that subject is the officers RESPONSIBILITY. They have an administrative role of taking suspects into custody. Punishment is ONLY to be done by a judge in a court of law after evidence is presented.
Feel free to contact the Orlando Police Department and ask them about their investigation into this brutality.

Also contact the City Council and ask them what steps they are taking to ensure citizens are not extrajudicially punished by their police officers. Remind them that your trip to Disney World depends on their response. You don't want your children brutalized by an obviously out of control police force. Also remind them punishment is not the job of police, at least in a civilized society.
