Received this e-mail today from Alison Lundergan Grimes' (D. KY) U.S. Senate campaign:
Last week, when asked about the importance of women's issues in this year's election, Mitch McConnell said this:
"I could be wrong, but most of the barriers have been lowered."
Let me help you with this one, Mitch. It's not that you could be wrong – it's that you are wrong and it's time for you to go.
Sign our petition and help us send a clear message to Mitch McConnell: it's time we elected a U.S. Senator who understands that women need a voice in Washington, not someone who dismisses women's issues as unimportant.

Women are half of the labor force in this country, yet still make only 77 cents for every dollar a man does. Because of this disparity in pay, Kentucky women lose nearly five billion dollars in wages each year.
That's unacceptable.
For 30 years, Mitch McConnell has championed an anti-women agenda in the U.S. Senate.
That's why we need Alison.
In the Senate, Alison will fight for pay equity, work to make childcare more affordable, protect victims of domestic violence, and increase the minimum wage for working families. Unlike Mitch McConnell, Alison wants to remove the barriers women face.
Alison will continue to be a staunch advocate for women once elected to be Kentucky's first female Senator – and that's why I'm so proud to work for this campaign.
Will you sign our petition to let Mitch know that Kentucky women deserve better?

Mitch McConnell is out of touch. It's time for a change.
Thanks for standing with us,
