Politically ambitious, union busting Scott Walker
Politically ambitious, union busting Chris Christie
.
Almost too good to be true. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R-Wannabuya Traffic Study) and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker (R-It's NEVER My Fault) are just like 2 felonious peas in a pod. I wonder if they'll compare legal strategies while they're in the same room? After all, they're both swirling in controversies involving corruption.
Perhaps they can jointly ask for group rates from high priced criminal defense lawyers.
Christie told the Star-Ledger on Sunday that the re-election of Gov. Scott Walker is a "huge priority" for the Republican Governors Association, a group that raises money for GOP gubernatorial candidates across America. Christie, who is the association's chairman, also said that the group already contributed "a couple million dollars" to the Wisconsin race.
Yes, the Republican Governors Association has used a couple of million dollars to pave the highway for Scott Walkers re-election by airing a plethora of ads. For all their megabucks, they got bupkus (last 2 polls show a toss up).
It won't be the first time Christie has been here for Scott Walker. He showed up in 2010 when Walker first run (promising 250,000 jobs in his first term - bwahahaha!) and again for the 2012 recall. Walker, of course, has returned the favors and held fundraisers.
Christie, of course, is enjoying being the head of the Republican Governors Association since it gives him the paid-for-by-others ability to rub shoulders with politically connected Republicans and donors across the country - a boost to his Presidential dreams.
Then again, there might be war between them because these are 2 guys with a desperation to be President. Yeah, with their Gubernatorial elections looming, they both denied their serious political ambitions, but you can almost see the drool whenever they're mentioned as contenders.
No schedule has been announced, nor do I expect one. Scott Walkers schedule as Governor is a secret.
It should be fun. Maybe we can get each of them to deny they're crooks...

This space now belongs to an announcement that even more secret documents in John Doe II are about to be released to the public.
A federal appeals court signaled Monday it would make public in two weeks nearly three dozen sealed filings in a lawsuit over the probe into fundraising and spending by Gov. Scott Walker's campaign and his conservative backers.
In an unsigned order, the U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals said it had received 34 fully or partially sealed documents in the case and that it planned to make them public Aug. 19 unless it receives motions to prevent the unsealing.
The appeals court is hearing about a decision to shut down an investigation looking into illegal coordination between Republicans campaigns, including Scott Walkers, and dark money groups. In their filings, prosecutors said Walker was at the center of a "criminal scheme".
The election is closing in and more scandals are just what Scott Walker doesn't want.
The first batch of documents in the original John Doe, where 6 of Scott Walkers top aides and associates were charged and convicted, is expected some time this month after they were ordered to be returned to Milwaukee County.
