Rand Paul's fear based existence goes back to his late teens, when he refused to go to sleep without Raggedy Andy doll. He used the doll as a talisman to keep the monsters under his bed away at night. He claimed that it also prevent any more "accidents" in his bed. Eventually, the plastic sheeting was removed when he turned 23.

Rand Paul's troubles began when he joined NoZe, a Baylor University group founded on insulting women's body parts and playing nasty pranks on the uninitiated. With Rand as a member, they began worshipping Aqua Buddha, and were in support of a confederate state.  NoZe was eventually expelled from Baylor after certain acts of arson and bodily harm were tied to the secret organization. To give you an idea of what sort of moron NoZe attracted, George W. Bush, Ken Starr, and Billy Graham were all members.

When faced with his first serious hurdle in school, becoming a board certified Ophthalmologist, he quit trying to pass the exam, and ran away from the challenge. He ended up creating a faux board, one that he controlled, and used that to concoct his own "certification." Numerous questions about a medical standards used by his organization have been raised since he created it.

Rand Paul has distinguished himself as a sniper, a string puller, and a creator of trouble for other people. He also has steadfastly refused to take responsibility for any of the trouble he has caused, both in his personal life and his political career. As a chickenshit member of the Senate, he is the epitome of the TeaBagger wing of the GOP.

Most recently, he complained that MSNBC dared ask him a tough question, asking about his previous public and well publicized stance on racial equality. He has since announced that he will refuse to appear on any station that dares ask him a tough question.

The price of MSNBC stock soared by 7% after Paul's announcement.

The Running Paul distinguished himself again yesterday, in Okoboji, Iowa:

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) can be seen making a hasty retreat as an immigration rights activist confronts Rep. Steve King (R-IA) over the Republican Party’s latest move against immigration reform, in footage posted by the DREAM Action Coalition Monday night.

The video, which was shot during a fundraiser in Okoboji, Iowa, shows Paul biting into a hamburger as coalition co-director Erika Andiola introduces herself to King. As soon as she tells King, “I’m actually a DREAMer, myself” — referring to young undocumented immigrants covered by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program — Paul puts the burger down and appears to be chewing more rapidly as a staff member leads him away from the conversation.

Andiola, who was brought to the U.S. from Mexico when she was 11 years old, criticized Paul on Twitter for his refusal to participate in the discussion.

Oh, and did I mention @SenRandPaul ran away from the table when I started talking to @SteveKingIA and mentioned I was a Dremer? #NoCourage

Raw Story Video of Rand Paul playing the Running Man

The Running Paul is a typical Teabagger. Irrational, politically illiterate (except as to Ayn Rand's ego based idiocy), unable to stand up to criticism, and incapable of dealing with the truth, especially if it might be embarrassing. Topped with arrogance, and seasoned with a conviction that "I am right, all of you are idiots" that is so prevalent within the TeaBagger wing, this will not be the last time that Rand runs away from confrontation.

Rand Paul - the perfect symbol of TeaBagger Bravery. His motto says is all: RUN AWAY!

On edit - it seems as this story is running away from Paul's handlers:
Paul flees in terror from cute immigrant girl.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
