Out of all the coverage and commentary emerging from the 2014 Ebola crisis, perhaps one of the most intriguing and disturbing comes from Christian radio broadcaster on his program Trunews, Rick Wiles.
The following excerpt sums up Rick Wiles' opinion of the Ebola outbreak currently ravaging West Africa:
Now this Ebola epidemic can become a global pandemic and that’s another name for plague. It may be the great attitude adjustment that I believe is coming… Ebola could solve America’s problems with atheism, homosexuality, sexual promiscuity, pornography and abortion.
...
If Ebola becomes a global plague, you better make sure the blood of Jesus is upon you, you better make sure you have been marked by the angels so that you are protected by God. If not, you may be a candidate to meet the Grim Reaper.
Ironically and unfortunately, the two known Americans affected by Ebola so far have been Mormon missionaries, two people who are more Christian than Rick Wiles could ever hope to be. I guess that means Wiles' ingenious theory about Gods' bigger plans involving Ebola is jossed.
In other news, Wiles has actually been quoted previously as having a different opinion on the purpose of Ebola. According to him:
Obama would claim executive powers to mandate that every human being in the United States be vaccinated. They could use the panic to stampede hundreds of millions of people in this country to be vaccinated, in fact billions worldwide, they could stampede the world to receive to a vaccine against a deadly virus and nobody knows what is in the vaccine.
So which one is it Mr. Wiles? Is ebola a plan from God to cleanse our sins
OR is ebola manufactured by Obama to force vaccines on all of us?
I would say that I'm hoping ebola solves America's problem of bigoted "Christian" radio hosts with no concern for human life and the true values practicing Christians should strive for, but that would put me on the same level as Mr. Wiles.
