The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has set a hearing for Sept.25th today to be held in Charlotte,North Carolina.The hearing will determine whether the GOP key targeted North Carolina November elections being held will be subject to new voting law approved by Republican lawmakers that have been called Voter suppression by critics.
The law was upheld last month by a lower Federal judge (a conservative bush appointee). The judge ruled that challenging groups failed to show they would suffer "irreparable harm" if elections are held under the new law.
The new voter laws, called by critics, the worse case of voter suppression in the country, have caused North Carolina to become ridiculed by the media and across the country.

It is speculated at this point that this move for a Quick Date may have been to keep the Appeal from ending up in the hands of the New North Carolina "Kangaroo court" 3-judge panel system, that was created this year by republicans to kill any such constitutional challenges to State laws that they have passed
Beginning in September, all constitutional challenges to State laws will be heard by three-judge trial court panels appointed by the chief justice of the state Supreme Court.
The move takes those cases out away from Superior Court judges and sends them to be heard in Wake County, , where the hand picked panels of judges from across the state will assemble when needed.
