EJoanna here, your faithful Tuesday IAN Diarist. Exhausted by the baseball post season. Happy mostly. But tired. And we're not even to the League Championship Series yet (the step before the actual World Series, for those of you not into baseball.) So I'll keep it short this time around.
Follow me below the orange batting "spray chart" for a short recap. But first, as always, the IAN credo:
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group gives Kossacks a safe place to check in, a daily diary where we can let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, earthquakes, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. It also allows us to find other Kossacks nearby for in-person checks when other methods of communication fail - a buddy system. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, earthquakes etc.), we and your buddy are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a Kosmail and ask to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!
We do have a diary schedule. But, when you are ready to write that diary, either post in thread or send FloridaSNMOM a Kosmail with the date. If you need someone to fill in, ditto. FloridaSNMOM is here on and off through the day usually from around 9:30 or 10 am eastern to around 11 pm eastern.

Short recap of the Giants' story so far in the post season:
They beat the Pirates in a one-game National League wild-card meeting.
They are now in a best-of-five National League Division Series with the Washington Nationals. The Giants have won 2 of these games so far (including a stupefying one on Saturday that went for 18 innings, with a total time of almost 6.5 hours! It was the longest post season game in Major League Baseball history.)
But in game 3 this afternoon, they lost to the Nats, 4-1.
Two games to go; the Giants only need to win one of these to advance to the NL Championship series, facing either the Cardinals or the (insert hissing here) LA Dodgers.
Still feeling quite optimistic. And the team's most enthusiastic and positive player is right fielder Hunter Pence,
known for his rousing dugout and clubhouse pep talks. Which this year always end with three little words:
Some of you are into this too. Maybe not SF Giants fans, but love baseball. Others? Not so much. I'm OK with that. We have a large crop of budding next-generation Giants' fans anyway:
So consider this Diary a free-form check-in. If you have baseball on your mind, please share. If not: please share.
Go Giants!!!!!!!
