HUZZAH! It looks like I'm negotiating a place for the kitties with someone. I'll keep it updated.
Apparently the person that has a space to keep them warm also needs a handyman for some work related ventures.
So I will be crossing my fingers and sending them off with her. And following soon after to check the place out and see what I can accomplish.
Snowball:
Bella Blue:
I hate having to do this. But the shelters here are overflowing. The back up adopters and fosterers are so busy they can't return calls or emails. I'm not taking them to certain death, they are both already special needs rescues with behavior issues that would doom them, if not age alone.
They consider me part of their clowder. These are my babies and it has taken years of work with them to get them to this point. They understand spoken english and are responsive to it. A squirt bottle reinforces their education when they pull their willfulness hat on. Which they will do. Bella is still a handful needing not only emotional reinforcement but a stern eye to keep her from taking advantage of her ninja abilities.
I need to find someone to foster or adopt them by tomorrow. I really can't be living on my bike with two cats. The difficulty level is high enough without them. If anything someone for Snowball as he hates being outdoors.
Snowball has eating and separation issues. He will also try and mount other cats creating a hostile environment in that regard. So no other cats in the home except Bella. I keep him on diet food and give him attention and verbally tell him when I'll be back. He loves to play and will ask to play daily.
Bella Blue is aggressive with other cats. I can't understand why fully so I haven't been able to address the problem. Snowball sits on her if she becomes an annoyance, thus they get along by an agreement. She loves attention and is the more conversational of the two. She needs to eat digestive care greenies regularly or she upchucks.
They work together to problem solve. My last roommate was tormented by them making him think they were shredding the couch because he would say mean things about cats for instance, one on each end. So they can be a handful. Hopefully there is someone who needs two fully developed Siamese in their life.
10:56 AM PT: I do have some funds for a couple more days in the room. But I'd like to get this over with. Someone suggested I fundraise in order to extend the time we have a room. So boothie68@gmail.com is my paypal address.
But I'm not really hopeful more time is what we need.
