Can Stock & Commodity Markets Be Manipulated - Just like an Election can be manipulated (with targeted spending much greater than the other side) - for Maximum Profit? Maximum Political Advantage?
Could a group of Billionaires, Corporations & Wall Street drive down the market right before an election to rattle voters and swing votes to the candidates they support and fund?
FACT: If you knew when the market is going down - you could make a lot of money selling shares short and buying options that bet the market is going down - correct?
FACT: If you knew when it would turn the corner and go back up - you could make a lot of money buying options and shares - correct?
THOUGHTS:
Would a certain group of Billionaires tank the market just before the election just to swing votes to the candidates they are funding?
Now that unlimited candidate funding is legal could someone manipulate the market as well for maximum profit and maximum political results?
Could a few extremely wealthy Billionaires, Corporations & Wall Street manipulate the markets enough to make this happen?
Would they make Billions if they were able to pull this off?
If their political investments pay off - would they be able to then pass legislation that makes them even more money in the 24 months after an election?
Could political spending return a 1000% profit over the 2 years after an election? 10,000%?
Does commodity speculation, stock options manipulation and short–selling offer potential ways to profit even before the election is held?
What American Corporation might have uniquely positioned itself to create and benefit from the financial opportunities described in the above questions?
My thinking is about what the stock market might do over the next few weeks (or I am just off message and my though in the article is wrong – it could never happen).

QUESTION: What “Corporation, in 2012 , was identified as one of about 12 speculating in Food Commodities to drive up the price of food worldwide by Michael Greenberger, professor at the University of Maryland School of Law, where he teaches homeland security and financial law. He's a former division director at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission. He's also a founder and director of the Center for Health and Homeland Security. But there's another problem here, and that is some of these participants, and I'm not saying who they are, but I'm sure there are enough there doing this that they are adversely affecting the price are actually not just swamping the markets with investments, but they're working with each other to drive the price up. That is a criminal problem.” See:potential answer?
NOTE: After the election the market starts to go up and we will have a Christmas rally so Wall Street can get their huge un-earned bonuses that are based on a high market on 12/31 each year. I never bet against the Christmas rally.
NOTE: I have already made in the 10's of thousands thinking that a truly greedy Wall Street - with their team captains described above - might try the immoral, selfish, despicable action described above.
