Today, something strange happened. One former president named George Bush published his "biography" of another former president named George Bush. Why this new book? I suspect it has to do with the family's ambitions. They understand that 43 is an obstacle to their future prospects, and hope that a rehabilitation of the father's name, underway for several years now, will make it easier for a third Bush to enter the White House.
I hope you'll read my short piece on this at WhoWhatWhy.
Also, I've posted a critique of the new book, "41", at Amazon. I hope you'll take a look. As someone who spent five years researching the Bushes for my investigative history, Family of Secrets, I am astounded at how few Americans know, even now, about the clandestine doings of this extraordinary family. I also expect Karl Rove and the like to be all over the Amazon page, making sure that as few people as possible see my review. Let the games begin!
