Welcome to bookchat where you can talk about anything...books, plays, essays, and books on tape. You don’t have to be reading a book to come in, sit down, and chat with us.
These books were not all written in 2014, but are the best ones I read this year out of 156 books so far.

What are the best books you read this year? If you are not sure you read it this year, that is OK. List the best books you read that you remember.
For the poll…my best gift last year was a huge photograph of all my 14 children and grandchildren and they all looked great. Getting everyone to stand still and smile was a funny story in itself. It looks wonderful over the fireplace and it is a treasure.
