Welcome to the Tuesday edition of the Coffee Hour at Street Prophets. This is an open thread where we can discuss what’s happening in our lives, what we’ve been working on, and our opinions on current events. I thought we might start out today by talking about motorcycles.
When I was younger I spent a lot of time riding motorcycles, ranging from the small Japanese bikes to a chopped Triumph and a full-dress BMW. I enjoyed the freedom and feel of riding. For several years I commuted 150 miles a day to and from work on motorcycles. I’ve done long trips—more than 3,000 miles—carrying camping gear. It’s been a long time since I’ve owned a bike, though I’ve ridden a few Harleys in the past few years.
Shown below are some photographs of classic museum motorcycles from museums I’ve visited.
This is an open thread where you can talk about motorcycles or politics, religion, food, drinks, cats, art, or whatever.
