Brother Dr. Carl Sagan: American astronomer, cosmologist, astrophysicist, astrobiologist, author, and human being.
I missed writing this anniversary diary in honor of Dr. Carl Sagan's passing back in December 20th, 1996 due to my preoccupation of authoring another diary on a somewhat related topic of the astronomical/spiritual event known as the Winter Solstice.
It seems like yesterday, many of us were watching and listening to the words with fascination and amazement his epic television series called "COSMOS". It was 18 years ago when this country's most enlightened scientific visionary and intellect passed away: This tribute/diary in his memory.
To those that have chosen to take the time to read this dairy, please take the time to proceed past the advertisement that is on this tribute to a great man. Sit back with me and watch, and listen with fascination once again this man's insightful words .....
Brother Dr. Sagan, we miss you, and your vision. We miss your words of hope, your ever-seeking curiosity of the cosmos, and insights on humanity.
"Like it or not, the earth is where we make our stand....."
Be safe out there.....,
"LC"
