It has occurred to me that there is indeed a War on Christmas. That's right. Christmas has been under attack for quite some time by a very insidious source . . . Jesus Christ.
Sure, it's his birthday - which is why I think we should focus more on the baby. The baby is wonderful, and cute & cuddly . . . and Christmasy. However, the adult he grew into seems anti-Christian & anti-American.
There is way too much focus on the older Jesus and the "sacrifice" he made for the salvation of mankind . . . he believed in forgiving people who deserved to die, and redeeming the irredeemable - providing "salvation" for EVERYONE. I'm sorry, but that's just wrong. Jesus was obviously influenced by the liberal media of his day.
The baby Jesus was full of potential. He might have been born in a poor manger - but he was given a gift of gold, which was a good start for his investment portfolio. He also had a promising career ahead as a carpenter. Things would have been fine if he had just stayed on the path that his parents laid out of him . . . but he rebelled, and I'm sure he must have been a real disappointment for his parents - not to mention his early investors who started him off with the gold.
The adult Jesus went astray. He was full of crazy ideas like selling all your belongings and giving to the poor, or giving people your extra shirt, loving your enemies, and taking care of sick people & widows that hadn't worked to deserve it . . . not to mention that he had to go and sacrifice himself for the sins of mankind. I'm sure we can all name quite a few members of mankind that simply do not deserve this kind of grace - which is why God established churches that let us know who is accepted and who is not. I doubt the adult Jesus would have made it past the ushers.
This adult Jesus went against his hard working father & mother to live like a hippy. He traveled around spreading liberal lies about redistribution of wealth, forgiveness, love, and even embracing your enemy. I'm sorry, but that's not the Jesus WE worship here in America.
I think the Bible probably says that "God helps those who help themselves", I heard it somewhere, but this is something that Jesus obviously overlooked in his reinterpretation of the Old Testament. God was clear about how we should treat our enemies, as well as women, gays, the poor, prostitutes, etc. in the scriptures . . . but Jesus seemed to completely ignore all that, and dared to go against God by loving and forgiving them.
This adult Jesus has corrupted Christmas, as well as the primary message associated with his birth.
The socialist Charles Dickens created a character named Ebenezer Scrooge. Scrooge was a hard working Christian man who knew the value of money and did not wish to waste it or abuse it. He was frugal & upright, representing everything a good American should be . . . but Dickens had to go and destroy his virtue - making him feel sympathy for the poor and remorse for the sick. The story has a very sad ending, where this good Christian man becomes a liberal shadow of himself - foolishly squandering his money on people who do not deserve it. Apparently, Dickens wanted hard working men to feel guilty about being frugal. This "Carol" is just like Rush Limbaugh calls it - nothing but socialist propaganda!
Santa Claus is a great image for children - as long as they realize who he really is. He helps children focus on what and how much they hope to get on Christmas day. They learn the value of being good to gain financial & material rewards. This instills within them the desire to work harder throughout their lives, sacrificing all else to get what they really want . . . more stuff! Maybe even a boat.
However, there are those that wish to use Santa to push their socialist agenda - a welfare giveaway program for ALL children, and warping his image. Liberals have turned this charming jolly man into nothing more than a red coated commie who thinks giving is better than receiving. There are numerous specials and shows about Santa that focus on ideas I don't want my kids exposed to - like sharing or caring for others. That isn't the Santa I used to write my letters to, and I would never let my kids sit on his red commie lap. If this socialist Santa comes into my house trying to give my kids something they haven't worked hard all year to EARN - I'm going to demonstrate my second amendment rights!
Socialist propaganda like "It's a Wonderful Life" really turns my stomach. The main character is a stuttering wimp named George Bailey who has an idea for a socialist utopia arising from his privatized social welfare program for dumb & poor workers who can't cut it on their own. The hero of the story is hard working businessman Mr. Potter ,who served as an early visionary for Reaganomics. He is a capitalist hero that is slammed and insulted by socialist George Bailey. In the end, instead of facing the consequences for his liberal failings - all the neighbors come together and give George Bailey a bail out, providing an eery premonition of Obama to come. In fact, I think the term 'bail out" comes from the name Bailey. I want my America to look like Potterville, not the mamby pamby Bedford Falls. When the free market is allowed to reign without regulation, there may be a lot more bars, strip clubs, and homeless people littering the street - but that's how you know people are free and not sponging off the system.
There is also the story of the "Grinch Who Stole Christmas" - a tale about a good man who is cast out of town due to his work ethic, and forced to live in isolation by the liberal "whos down in whoville". If he had been allowed the freedom to export his business, finding harder workers and cheaper labor outside of whoville, his wealth might have trickled down from the mountain on which he lived. However, there were obviously regulations placed on the Grinch by the Whos . . . and thus he is forced to take matters into his own hands to redeem Christmas and remove it's socialist "feel-good" wahoo doray. Of course, this story is another example of liberal propaganda where a good man is transformed into a socialist at the end.
We also can't forget "Miracle of 34th Street" where a crazy old man ruins the values of a young girl while trying to turn people away from shopping at Macy's. This fake Santa undermines free market competition by sending people to other stores to find the things they need at a cheaper price, rather than selling them overpriced things they don't want or need. This makes me sick. It's this sort of attitude that is destroying America . . . just another film in a long line of socialist propaganda. I'm just glad that we have people like Rush Limbaugh to tell us the truth, set us straight, and steer us away from this trash.
What about the muppet movie where the "evil" bad man in the film is a Texan oil tycoon. As Eric Bolling on Fox News stated so eloquently, “We’re teaching our kids class warfare. Where are we, Communist China?” It's amazing how far the left will go to brainwash your kids. Of course, many kids grew up on the Muppets and Sesame Street . . . which explains why so many now feel it is their "right" to "occupy" any street they desire. Just like Oscar in his trash can - they think they can set up camp and live in their own garbage, and force all of us to watch them. But some of us - those of us that seek the truth and watch Fox news - we know exactly what is going on.
So, what is the foundation for all this liberal propaganda? The biggest liberal of all time . . . Jesus Christ.
People claim that he changes their hearts and minds - and that's great, as long as it means they are motivated to work harder. However, one should never fall prey to the false Christianity which bestows grace, mercy, charity & compassion on those that don't deserve it! Bill O'Reilly has made it clear to me that this is NOT what Jesus really meant, and he is one of the most dynamic Christian men in media today.
Liberals like to say "God is love" and talk on and on about salvation and forgiveness - but that's not what Christianity is about. I stopped going to church because of the liberal message I kept hearing - and now I get my Gospel from dynamic Christians like Glenn Beck. He knows who to love and who to hate, and he says it straight. We need more Christian men like Glenn who know that the love of God is best shown through the barrel of a gun.
So, what does all this have to do with Christmas? Everything.
I like the baby - he just lies there in a dirty shed to motivate us all to work harder so that we never have to endure his fate . . . but I have no time for the adult who hung out with tax collectors and left his carpentry career to spread socialist propaganda. If he would have stayed in Nazareth and earned a decent days salary, then maybe I could respect him - but his later life just ruins the whole idea of Christmas for me.
We Christians must save Christmas by getting rid of the adult Jesus - he absolutely ruins my desire to get better gifts from my deadbeat relatives. We cannot afford to let anymore good men like Scrooge have their minds warped and changed by the grace of this socialistic hippy who apparently loves and gives free gifts to those that don't deserve it!
I want MY Christmas to be about the REAL spirit of Christmas - a baby who wants things. A baby who learns the value of hard work by being born in a manger, thus providing the impetus to work hard and make a better life for himself.
Did the baby Jesus help the poor and destitute? Of course not - he was a baby! I think we need to remove all the verses from the Bible that say anything about Jesus after the age of 13, and just focus on his birth and celebrate Christmas all year round.
Let's put Capitalism back into Christmas, and focus on the Consumerism and Free Market wealth it creates . . . and lets stop those that wish to use this holiday to focus on things like peace & good will.
If we say Merry Christmas with peace in our hearts then the terrorist win, because there will be no one left to kill them.
We must stop this liberal attack on true Christmas values. We must repeat the word CHRISTMAS over and over again, because liberals hate the Capitalism it represents. That's why so many have replaced "Merry Christmas" with "Happy Holidays" . . . but a holiday could be anything. Veteran's Day is a holiday, but we don't get gifts - so it's not the same as Christmas. President's Day, Arbor Day, MLK Day - all holidays . . . but none are the same as Christmas because there are no presents involved. Liberals are trying to take away the meaning of this sacred day by removing the word, and therefore eliminating the gifts.
If we believe in good will for all mankind, then Glenn Beck's worst nightmares will become a reality . . . a utopia where there is no poor or rich, a place where there is no war, and the salvation of Jesus Christ is free & available to all - changing the hearts and minds of mankind and banishing judgement, hate and fear. In a place like that, there would be no work for someone like Bill O'Reilly or Glenn Beck - so we must preserve the world according to their fears!
In my family we always celebrate a traditional Christmas by taking our gifts to the poor part of town . . . and taunting the people that don't work hard enough to have nice things.
So - Merry Christmas . . . as long as you've earned it.
