I wish I could post a picture of him, but his parents don't want me to.
Considering that his birthday was supposed to be Christmas, and the heart problem, he's doing fantastic.
He weighs over seven pounds. His hair is probably not going to be red, and his eyes look brownish now. But he smiles, and he looks at things - his doggie, his sister, his parents and adoring family. Newborn clothes are still too big for him, so he kind of swims in them.
He eats well, he's more alert, he wriggles around. In short, he's about where he would have been if he had been born on Christmas.
His next hurdle is heart surgery. Surgery on his problem has advanced a lot, and they hope to get it done as soon as he's a little bigger and stronger.
We are so relieved. Thank all of you who held him in your thoughts and prayers. So far, it's working. Thank you, thank you.
