Erick Erickson, dipshit, has assumed the role of chief Thought Policeman.
These people don't even have a foothold in reality, much less even consider "reality-based" reporting or editorializing, when they vomit their word salad onto society. We live in 1984 fascist state where, in the conservative alternative universe, civil rights activists are terrorists while the FBI is out hunting for a likely conservative domestic terrorist in Colorado.
And these scumbags do this only days after the domestic terrorist attack in America and another in France.
The conservatives have completely jumped the Orwellian shark at this point. Fox news telling blatant lies, Congress passing bills with Orwellian names, like the "Patriot Act", Republicans starting massive wars for their political donors, etc.
Erick Erickson Compares American Gay Activists To Charlie Hebdo Terrorists
RedState editor Erick Erickson took advantage of the deadly terror attack on satirical French newspaper Charlie Hebdo Wednesday to slam American gay activists he blamed for the dismissal of Atlanta's fire chief.
"They believe that the views they want to silence are not worthy of ever being spoken…and so they must be punished, they must be vanquished, and everyone must know it's going to happen to them as well," Erickson said on his radio show, appearing to barrel toward a denunciation of the Paris attackers.
"And so they did the only thing they could do, the only thing they knew to do," he continued. "They went to the mayor of Atlanta and demanded he fire the chief of the fire department for daring to mock them." [snip]
In a blog post also published Wednesday, Erickson made the comparison explicit. "The terrorists did what had to be done to publicly destroy and ruin the offender...and the terrorists won in Atlanta," he wrote.

FBI says NAACP explosion in Colorado Springs could be domestic terrorism
"It is certainly a possibility of being a hate crime or domestic terrorism, however we are exploring all possibilities of potential motive," said Amy Sanders, spokeswoman for the FBI in Denver.
Jeff Dorschner, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Colorado, said an assistant U.S. attorney with expertise in "both terrorism-related matters and matters related to destructive devices" is supporting the investigation and working with the FBI.
Erick Erickson is having a pouty sad. But this type of rhetoric serves a dangerous purpose.
America has been at this dangerous point in American politics where one side is calling political opponents "terrorists" while committing terrorist attacks against their political opponents for a long time. These conservatives are deranged but Erick Erickson obfuscates and lies to such an extent that the real domestic terrorists run amok, and their terrorist attack barely makes a ripple in American news media.
Americans should stand up for the NAACP in the same way France is protesting for Charlie Hebdo.
But Fox News has dehumanized America to such an extent that only Oklahoma City sized bombings make the news. And even then, the FBI isn't allowed to mention conservative domestic terrorists as a major concern.
