We have put the finishing touches on our DKos Asheville meet up coming up this Saturday and everyone is pretty pumped up. To see how this event was born and has evolved, please read the following stories if you haven't yet had the chance. The last one links to all of DKos Asheville's blogging history.

At the end of the program, we will be attempting a short video or audio shout out through Skype to the Seattle Meet up. It would be great if the Kossacks out west could meet our Senator and say hello from across the nation. We are working on both ends to make it happen so please stay tuned. We are closing out the conference with a Daily Kos Asheville panel discussion with about six of us including Otteray Scribe. We will be promoting DK as a blogging platform and community network.
This is our welcome statement on the program.
Good day and welcome to Asheville. DKos Asheville is a Daily Kos Community Group that hosts a weekly open thread on Daily Kos and then meets up a few times a year to promote progressive politics, friendship and networking. We always hoped that this group would serve to invigorate us locally and regionally on Daily Kos and beyond, building on the sense of community that's grown through our online engagement. DKos Asheville can give us all a better sense of connection, a better understanding of who we stand with, work with, and share with. We hope this community can help leverage our orange passion for progressive politics to elect more and better Democrats. We are proud to stand with, share with and learn from all the great voices in attendance today.
