I peeked at Drudge today (I know, I know) and I saw a nice bright red link titled "GALLUP: O APPROVAL 50%...". This isn't too strange, because if you have been following Obama's approval polling it has been steadily ticking up since the 2014 elections. After seeing the Drudge link my immediate thought was to see how conservatives were reacting online. Please, join me on this adventure.
I went over to HotAir (and boy are they full of it!) to see how the other side of the aisle is taking this news. If I had to pick a word, I would describe their emotions as confused:
Keep in mind that the WH sued Gallup.
They are now the ones with the highest ratings of the oaf of the land.
Didn't have to scroll too far to find a conspiracy theory. That's a good sign! Let's keep going.
Done your taxes yet, demorats, there’s some fine little surprises in there waiting for you fresh from DeathCare Headquarters.
Let’s do this poll again in late April.
Denial and epithets! see, now that's what I came for! Minor point deduction for missing an opportunity to say "Demonrats".
So, this popularity thing, a simple blip on the radar, everyone happy that Obama has gotten away from the White House where he can do us even more harm.
Ah, I get it! people just hate obama sooo much they actually love him because his final term is ending soon. Can't argue with conservative logic.
If polls, or the people taking them were honest, obama would peak at a 17% approval because that’s about how many rabid progressive nazis we have in this country.
Alright that's about all my brain can take for today. Remember folks: Enjoy the fact that conservatives are slowly realizing Obama will end his presidency with a positive approval rating despite all of the "scandals" they created to sink him. Does this remind you of their relationship to Bill Clinton? It should, and it looks like they'll have another Clinton to deal with once Obama leaves office.
