Hello and welcome to my first diary here at Kos! I've lurked here a long time, enjoying the thoughtful commentary and incisive wit. I hope I can contribute to that aesthetic in some small way.
Since you might be wondering: Rhohakin is a nonsense word that sounds cool. As far as I know, it has no real meaning.
Politics makes up a small part of a person, but we're here, so it's of elevated importance. You'll learn lots about my political beliefs in coming diaries, but for now, suffice it to say that I am a liberal progressive (in American parlance) or a social democrat (in European parlance), and in recent years I have grown more solidly toward the political left.
What else is there to Rho? I am young, an aspiring fiction writer and classic car enthusiast (particularly of my daily drive, a '59 Morris Minor). I am thunderstruck by the beauty of Earth's nature and of the cosmos. I'm shy and my emotions run both too shallow and too deep. I make many mistakes, but in my short existence have been many triumphs, alongside the sorrows. I am bisexual and Buddhist, but I don't practice either one very religiously. I was born and raised in Missouri, and there I still live, with my boyfriend of four years.
What I most enjoy doing is pondering big things: where will humanity be in a century? How can we abolish war? What would an ideal state look like? Just look at how far we've come already!
I have eternal optimism, despite the world's strenuous efforts to demolish it. I invite you to join my bulwark. I am Rhohakin, nothing more than a cool name, and you are my friend and ally.
