He's baaaaack.
Apparently ex-Rep. Joe Walsh (R-NotADeadbeatDad(?)) is serious about wanting to take out not-good-enough Republican Sen. Mark Kirk. He's already talking about whether or not Kirk is "capable" of even doing his current job. (Kirk had a stroke in 2012, and couldn't return to the Senate
until the following year.)
“I think that myself and any Republican voter in this state has questions about Sen. Kirk’s health, similar to if he were running a business and we’d want to know that he’s in condition to run that business,” Walsh said.
“. . . I think it’s up to him to provide whatever medical information he needs to provide to show that he’s capable of doing this job, that’s all.”
As much is it pains me to defend Mark Kirk, sigh, former one-term congressman Joe Walsh is really not the person to ask whether or not someone else
is qualified for their job. That aside, however, we may already have our first Republican primary food fight of 2016. I suspect Walsh doesn't have a chance in hell of defeating Kirk—or, at this point, anyone—but that doesn't mean he can't spend the next two years embarrassing his party just like back in the good old days.
