Here is a 15 second video from United Steelworkers (USW) union that even the high school educated Governor of Wisconsin should be able to understand.
Wisconsin Legislature has called an Extraordinary Session for this week for the sole purpose of fast tracking Right to Work. Everyone is encouraged to push their members from WI to call into their senators 1-844-334-3438. A solidarity event is scheduled for Tuesday, February 24th at 1:00 p.m. on the State Street side of the Capitol. Like and Share and get our message out and say #No2RTW
(By the way,
Governor Ruiner of Illinois should also be able to get
this really simple concept.) AFSCME had a quick
response to Ruiner///oops!- Rauner here.
Meanwhile, back in New Mexico:

Representative Lucky Varela (D-Santa Fe) has a bill to give 2% raises to state employees, and it is scheduled to be heard this Friday, February 27th in the House Government, Elections, and Indian Affairs Committee.
Rep. Varela was Chair of the Legislative Finance Committee when Dems controlled the House, and his bill is a good indication of what we could have expected had Dems maintained control of the House. Republicans took over the House in the November elections, though, and currently are proposing a pay freeze despite almost $80 million of "new" money in this year's budget.
Getting House Republicans to move off of the pay freeze is a long shot, but we've got to try. Please call and email House Government Committee Republicans and ask them to SUPPORT HOUSE BILL 353:
Chair Jim Smith (R-Sandia Park): 986-4454 jim@jimsmithnm.com
Vice Chair Sharon Clahchischilliage (R-Kirtland): 986-4211 sharon.clahchischill@nmlegis.gov
