Well, today is my 10th anniversary here at Daily Kos. It's actually a bit longer, because I lurked for a few months before signing up, but this is the official date of joining. My distaste for a second George W Bush presidential term was the catalyst for joining.
I had had enough, but how terrific!
I found you.
Many of you know, I live in Arizona, ground zero for people so far to the right, that you worry they will fall off a flat earth. So please know you you have all meant a lot to me over the years. You all made living here tolerable. Thank you Baja Kossacks and Mother Mags.
True Blue Majority and The Grieving Room helped me through my brother's death in 2009 and my very beloved dad's death in 2011. I've written about both of them, and you cared enough to read my diaries
I love coming here and reading the news every morning, with the Abbreviated Pundit. I love Hunter's writing. I love the passion of Denise Oliver Velez, and the fun of Cheers and Jeers with Bill in Portland. Many of you have causes near and dear to me, like xxdr zombiexx. I respect the writing, research and activism of so many of you.
Each and every one brings a dynamic synergy to this group.
So, thank you very much for ten years of sanity in an America that lately, disappoints me often.
Thank you Markos for bringing us together
Here's to another 10 years.
Cheers!
