O’Reilly's lack of remorse over George Tiller's murder, truly shows his duplicitous lack of character.
His lack of Journalistic standards too.
O’Reilly Responds To The Tiller Murder: ‘No Backpedaling Here…Every Single Thing We Said About Tiller Was True’

Fox News host Bill O’Reilly had also singled out Tiller in the past. According to Salon, O’Reilly first discussed Tiller on Feb. 25, 2005, and subsequently did 28 more episodes mentioning the doctor. When Fox News announced that O’Reilly would be making his first comments on Tiller since his murder, some journalists believed that O’Reilly would “most certainly decry” the killing.
At the top of his Talking Points segment, O’Reilly did briefly say, “Americans should condemn the murder of Dr. George Tiller,” but he then quickly segued into more attacks on Tiller. [...]
[O'Reilly:] When I heard about Tiller’s murder, I knew pro-abortion zealots and Fox News haters would attempt to blame us for the crime, and that’s exactly what has happened.

Besides repeatedly referring to the doctor as “Tiller the Baby Killer,” what are some of the factual statements O’Reilly has made about Tiller over the years?
– “If you want to kill a baby, you hire Tiller. You’ve got to pay him $5,000 up front, and he’ll kill the baby.”
— “No question Dr. Tiller has blood on his hands.”
— “Dr. George Tiller destroys fetuses for just about any reason, right up until the birth date.”
— “This man executes babies that are about to be born.”
— “This is the kind of stuff happened in Mao’s China, Hitler’s Germany, Stalin’s Soviet Union.”
O'Reilly tone-deafness was demonstrated by his
continuing to attack Tiller --
even after Rightwing zealots {ie. Fox's audience} succeeded in taking the Doctor's life.
As per usual, O'Reilly used the stunning national-moment to 'attacked his attackers' -- instead taking a long soulful look in the mirror (about the possible consequences of his unchecked hateful rhetoric).
Bill O'Reilly called George Tiller "a baby killer" without attribution

O'Reilly said that liberal groups were targeting him unfairly.
"Even though I reported on the doctor honestly, the loons asserted that my analysis of him was 'hateful,'" O'Reilly wrote. "Chief of among the complaints was the doctor's nickname, 'Tiller the baby killer.' Some prolifers branded him with that, and I reported it. So did hundreds of other news sources."
[...]
We found at least 42 instances of O'Reilly mentioning Tiller by name, going back to 2005. In 24 instances, we found that O'Reilly referred to Tiller specifically as a "baby killer."
Most of the time, O'Reilly would simply refer to the Tiller as "Tiller the baby killer" or as "Dr. George Tiller, known as Tiller the baby killer" without attributing it to anyone. We found four times when O'Reilly said that "some" called him Tiller the baby killer. We did not find any instance where O'Reilly named an individual or a particular antiabortion group that referred to Tiller that way.

That's
some reference there Bill -- "
'some' called him Tiller the baby killer" --
but NOT you sir no-way,
-- BUT some nameless others. You were just "quoting them."
O'Really!?

Dr. Tiller was shot to death in Wichita, Kan., May 31, 2009, in the foyer of his longtime church as he handed out the church bulletin. Scott Roeder, an abortion opponent, was arrested for the shooting and later testified that he had shot Dr. Tiller in order to prevent him from carrying out abortions. On Jan. 29, 2010, Mr. Roeder was convicted of first-degree murder.

Dr. Tiller's death the first killing of an abortion provider in this country since 1998, when Dr. Barnett Slepian was shot by a sniper in his home in the Buffalo area. Dr. Tiller was the fourth doctor in the United States who performed abortions to be killed in such circumstances since 1993, statistics from abortion rights' groups show.
Testifying in his own defense, Mr. Roeder confessed that he did shoot Dr. Tiller after studying his victim's habits and security precautions. The shooting, he said, came from his growing opposition to abortion, which he deemed criminal and immoral, and his mounting sense that laws and prosecutors and other abortion opponents were never going to stop Dr. Tiller from performing them.

Funny how O'Reilly keeps returning to his 'War on Christmas', and now to his latest "
Holy War" themes
-- Damn the consequences! It's
not his "War Zone" afterall ... it won't be Bill's blood being spilt ... "war journalist" or no ...
[...]
O'Reilly began his jihad against Tiller back in 2005 and, according to Salon, Tiller's been mentioned on 28 separate occasions on his show. In addition to dubbing him "Tiller the Baby-Killer," O'Reilly has referred to Tiller's clinic as a "death mill" and called his work "Nazi stuff" for which he has "blood on his hands."

When will these self-righteous wingers ever realize we are a Nation of Laws?
Not a Nation of Out-laws ...
(Probably NOT soon enough ... If O'Reilly's rhetoric-disguised-as-Reporting, is any guide.)
