Would you want this "art" in your neighborhood?
An unnamed Sacramento man has lost his mind and is refusing to take down his
display of swastikas:
Neighbors told KCRA 3 on Tuesday they have asked the man behind the display to take it down, but he refuses.
"So, I went over one day and just said, '(The swastikas) kind of cross the line for this neighborhood,'" said one neighbor, who didn’t want to provide his name. "He called it his art and got very defensive about it."
Others weren't so kind:
"This is ridiculous," said Rick Reader, who lives nearby. "Seeing this is ridiculous. That’s crazy."
See the display in a video report from
KCRA in Sacramento:
Sacramento Police Spokesman Officer Justin Brown says the display
is not illegal and there is nothing they can do.
Some lawmakers are hoping to turn up the pressure:
Democratic Sen. Marty Block of San Diego said a news conference with lawmakers, veterans and community leaders will be held Thursday to call on the house owner to voluntarily remove the swastikas.
Block, chair of the Jewish Caucus, called the display "an insult" to the American soldiers killed and wounded fighting Adolf Hitler's Nazi army and the millions who died in German concentration camps.
Stay tuned.
