Am I wrong?
This is a real situation I am involved in.
A student in a public high school English class happens to be an atheist. She objects to a test question offering extra credit for relating a topic to the Bible.
The teacher implies that [even if you are not Christian] every student should have knowledge of the Bible. (Because everyone should be Christian, and reasons.)
Deep red district in swing state, but damn if this doesn't piss me off.
The fact that is is "only" extra credit pisses me off no less.
Fri Mar 06, 2015 at 6:32 AM PT: Update: The principal's secretary blocked the parent from getting a meeting on this issue by forcing the parent to deal with the teacher first. "There are two sides to every story" - B.S. The parent does not want retribution against her child, which is entirely forseeable. Goddam Koch Brothers OWN the school board.
