Fri Mar 06, 2015 at 10:42 PM PT: Sorry for the diary popping in and out. Live blogging from a cell phone. Won't happen again. Wasn't getting noticed. Only way to change it/fix it was to unpublish. Sorry.
Please don't misconstrue this. The diary was ineffective and poorly written at first and corrections could not be made from my mobile phone without deleting. At no time did it's position in the recent list change.
Fri Mar 06, 2015 at 11:05 PM PT: There is local news video at the 1st link. WISC interviewed Mayor Soglin in addition to State Representative Chris Taylor who was across the street at the time of the shooting. Demonstrators are gathering. MPD is not handling the investigation.
Fri Mar 06, 2015 at 11:24 PM PT: The Wisconsin State Journal has more, but I couldn't cut and paste from there. I got this bit the hard way:
The state Department of Justice's Division of Criminal Investigation is investigating the shooting.
I'm doing my best with what I've got.
