So the usual malware was at work at Breitbart and Town Hall seems to have adopted a policy of deleting its comments for perhaps the obvious reasons, so we're left again with NRO and the guy who had a thing for the ex-Governor of Alaska. His colleague also has her own take on the Ferguson protesters.
“To actually have the police injured by gunshots — that is not even a small setback, it is a real setback,” said Courtney Curtis, a Democratic state representative whose district includes Ferguson. “It takes away the forward momentum the protesters did have.”
Good thing the officers weren’t killed. That might have inhibited the protests for, say, a week. As it was, the demonstrations were up and running again last night, demanding the firing of the entire police force.
At least I figured out who Jason Lee Steorts is at NRO and that he's not all that bad (as an editor):
I can’t agree with Mark Steyn that anything of value is lost when derogatory epithets go out of bounds in polite society. They tend to be bad even for humor, substituting stereotype and cliché for originality. People who used them in different times need not be regarded as monstrous, nor must the canon be censored; we could instead feel good about having awoken to a greater civility and make generous allowances for human fallibility. By way of criticizing speech, I’ll say that I found the derogatory language in this column, and especially the slur in its borrowed concluding joke, both puerile in its own right and disappointing coming from a writer of such talent.
The excited comments appear below
To call it Tsarist, is wrong, it is ahm, Stalin Leninist! Of course they learned their stuff from the tsarist folks.
So we're all just peasants
Just like we can't assume that jihadists hate us for being unbelievers just because they say they hate us for being unbelievers.
There must be other reasons
The mind of a left-lib is a tortured and convoluted place were simple, cause and effect connections are forbidden.
Past and tense
I saw one of the policemen in Ferguson on the news last night who stated that they endure shooting all the time. Apparently this is the first time that the shooters have hit their targets. It seems that someone has a right to paranoia, but it ain't the NY Times.
Naw, everybody's got a right (to fight for your right to party)
Occam's bullet?
And they like to accuse us of having conspiracies.
Maybe it was Hillary's people; trying to help get her out of the headlines.
Part of her Secret Server Service detail's tasks.
Zombie Vince Foster is back
More Liberal projection...these are the same clowns who would show up at Tea Party rallies and shout racist stuff to try and get on camera as a "racist Tea Party member". If you ever want to know what liberals are doing, just listen to their fantasies about their opposition.
Do meta-fantasies become reality
"Unless this was an act committed by someone who was severely mentally ill, can’t we just assume the person or persons who shot the cops really hate the police?"But how does that advance the progressive political narrative? Now if you really want to score some points, blame the Tea Party or Ted Cruz.
Some will trust the 'baggers to shoot straight even if they're not so straight or straight shooters
As Louis likes to remind his flock, the white devil is very, very crafty. https://www.youtube.com/....
As Flip Wilson has said "The Devil made me do it"
Of course the Ferguson police shootings were the work of provocateurs. Everyone one present was a provocateur. It is incorrect to call the incident a protest, however: it was mob violence - ginned up by Barack Obama and his creature Holder.
Obama may have a titanic ego, but he's not too proud to borrow from Putin's tactics.
Like PBO and Vlad really get along
If we apply the left's reasoning to this situation, the protesters and their supporters are responsible for the shootings regardless of who did the shooting. It doesn't matter if the shooters supported the protests or opposed them, the protests are the common denominator and if there were no protests, the two police officers wouldn't have been shot. In this regard, the left is hoisted with its own petard.
Yeah, no more freedom of speech...wait...Damn those hypotheticals
Why "Tsarist-secret-police-level paranoia" and not Stalinist-secret-police-level paranoia?
Eric Holder seems to think this was the act of "wreckers."
The NKVD (or Jim Thorpe) did it
Wouldn't it bring Eric Holder's career as AG full circle if we found out the gun was a fast and furious weapon?
Egad...Irony
If you are using any commercially available self-defense handgun, and not a specifically designed competition weapon, yes 100 yards is an exceedingly long shot with a handgun.
For these gang-banger thug types that are protesting, it is one heck of a shot with a pistol. These clowns don't even realize that the part of the pistol with the sights is the top of the pistol, not the side! I highly doubt these idiots even know what metallic silhouette is, let alone are capable of participating.
They are probably too lazy to walk the 100-yards to the mailbox to pick up their welfare payment.
No Stereotypes here
Gosh. Has Brian Ross uncovered the Tea Party connection yet
Sorry, don't watch ABC news
Alison Lundergren-McConnell will make sure that Barrak the Destroyer gets whoever he wants.
He'll make sure that she's confirmed by one vote, and then claim that he tried.
Stated this day thirteen March in the year of Our Lord two thousand fifteen.
Dude must've pulled the wrong lever twice on Election Day
Most likely the obvious answer would be someone who hates the police. But I would not rule out provocateurs. There have been professional agitators on-site since the beginning. They are communist-types (usually older white men) who show up anywhere in the US, wherever there is unrest. They are in the crowds with bull horns saying outrageous stuff and trying to whip up violence.
It's the amateur ones that are more dangerous during the Pro-Ams
google: Gregory Lee "Joey" Johnson
Edit: Here is an excellet expose on Johnson with great video of him in Ferguson.
http://themissouritorch.com/....
This is the kind of person who wants revolution. He doesn't seem to be armed/dangerous but he clearly tries to stoke the fires of others. It's not so hard to imagine that there are violent people like him out there.
The Black Bloc crowd loves these types of protests as well and while they aren't shooting people, they are the leaders of the vandals.
Like bell-bottom pants, Bob Avakian Rules!
Notice BTW that when a black person, a Muslim or another member of a protected class is a victim of violence that Holder and Obama never say, Yeah, probably it was another Muslim tying to make white Americans look bad.
That was my immediate take too, that Holder seemed to be implying the shooter might well be a white racist trying to sow discord.
Knit one, pearl two
Of course AG Holder can just parcel that task out to FBI or ATF "snitches," when he targets "right-wing, domestic terror groups" (such as veterans, gun owners, or tea partiers).
C'mon man, the SPLC has to have something to do.
Soros will destroy entire economies and rig elections, but he won't send in a shooter to keep Ferguson alit?
Absolutely not, clearly those officers shot each other in a treasonous attempt to undermine Atty. Gen. Holder's report, the President's Iranian nuclear negotiations, and distract from Sec. Clinton's UN address on women's rights . /sarc
Where's my check!
"Unravel any sense of progress" with whom?
As far as the racialists are concerned the fault lies with the police and not with the criminals.
It is but in the stars
Progress for the likes of Holder, Sharpton, Oblama is getting the police to not use common sense and their experience in trying to do their job. Shooting a couple of them isn't going to change that - it may very well result in police officers "progressing" even further into the anarchy that seems to be the desire of "communities of color".
Uh-oh the "A" word....
