Grow our network, unite our progressive communities, help win elections!
Chris Reeves, who blogs at Daily Kos as
tmservo433, is our Connect! Unite! Act! leader for Kansas and Missouri. He's a great example of local organizing and will be directing us regarding the agenda for the conference. He's done an outstanding job of working with other progressive groups in Kansas this past election on
registering disenfranchised voters, working to provide that
every county has a Democratic headquarters set up and inviting progressives to sign up at Daily Kos. He credits our site with effectively broadcasting his events around the state. We want to duplicate his effort across the nation. The conference will focus on organizing from the ground up and why that's important.
If you're flying in, plan on arriving the Friday night before because our seminar will start first thing Saturday morning and continue until late afternoon. We'll have a Friday early evening welcoming bash and Saturday evening there'll be a big closing party. Sunday morning will be an opportunity for individual groups to meet on their own before others have to fly out. We'll have a location for that announced soon, along with the Friday night venue.
Daily Kos will organize locally in every congressional district, including the reddest of them. There is no other progressive forum like Daily Kos. Let's take advantage of our 24/7 conversation and the large population of readers. You can look for a group to join here and if you don't see one, please consider starting one. Kosmail me if you'd like to lead a Daily Kos group.
Let's connect all the like-minded readers here In-Real-Life and get some political work done.
