So we finally got some rain yesterday. It was the most precipitation we've had in over a month and it totaled 0.3 inches which was enough to water the gardens. Once again I'm gonna post pictures of some of the things growing around here.
Before I do that I wanted to mention that data shows the world overall was the warmest ever recorded in February. Some areas were the hottest ever recorded including the eastern Pacific Ocean and California. The northeast part of the USA recorded the coldest temperatures ever.
So these pictures will likely cause some northeastern folks to feel a bit jealous. From top to bottom is: Wild Bleeding Hearts, Spirea, Purple Lantana, Candy Tuft, Lilacs, Ajuga, and a native wild grass called Meadow Barley. It's not only fully gone to seed, but is already drying out and will be dormant very soon. This normally doesn't happen until May!
What do you want to kibitz about tonight?

Kitchen Table Kibitzing is a community series for those who wish to share part of the evening around a virtual kitchen table with kossacks who are caring and supportive of one another. So bring your stories, jokes, photos, funny pics, music, and interesting videos, as well as links—including quotations—to diaries, news stories, and books that you think this community would appreciate. Readers may notice that most who post diaries and comments in this series already know one another to some degree, but newcomers should not feel excluded. We welcome guests at our kitchen table, and hope to make some new friends as well.
