Standard disclaimer: Leave your loathing of meta, World of Warcraft, or community diaries outside. If you think we should be playing your MMO instead, start a guild and write a recruitment diary. Don't leave a comment here and then get all hurtful when it isn't received with flowers and candy. This goes double for people coming in to attack guildies over other diaries or comments - STAY OUT! Link to your recruitment diary is OK though. |
Standard advertisement: Wreck List is the Daily Kos World of Warcraft guild. We are Horde-side on the Garrosh server. We're getting close to the membership cap, so we'll have to put you on a waiting list if you want to join. To get on the list, read this diary and visit the Guild web site. Yes, you have to be Horde. No, you don't have to be hardcore - casuals, PvPers, and people that just want to hang out on guild chat are all welcome. |
More below the fold:
So the WoW Tokens went live this week. You can now buy and sell game time for gold on the Auction House.
However, the tokens, which started at 30,000 gp for a $20 token, are down to ~23,000 – at least they were when I looked this morning.
That's not a lot of gold for $20. In fact, I could probably scrape up that much gold in a month….
Hmmm.
Well, let's go to the raid reports. First up is Pamena with the Team PM report:
Team PM report:
Team PM had a LOT of people out for various reasons last Thursday, and went into Blackrock with a bare bones crew of 10. And we found out these fights, at least Oregorger and Flamebender, don't seem to be well tuned for that small a group. Oregorger in particular seemed to have the same number of boxes with the same HP as when we did it with 14 or 15 people. So, we had an evening of die and learn, but sometimes that's what raiding is all about. Tuesday, we did a fresh start, with 13 people, and we cruised through Gruul, H&F and Beastlord Darmac, one-shotting each of them even with some screw ups along the way. Oregorger took 2 pulls, but I think we've got that dance close to being down and on farm - clearly that fight is easier with at least 12-14 people. We went back to Flamebender with time for only a couple of pulls, and did not get very far, but we will be back with her tonight and we might be able to do it. We so much appreciate our new Tuesday healer Tonyharrison - he raids with his Alliance team on our other night, so he can only come on Tuesdays, but he's such a great healer, it's a huge help!
We're going to keep pushing thru BRF on normal until we feel comfortable with our gear and knowledge enough to try heroic - I'm hoping perhaps week after next.

Nina is currently unable to provide a raid report, and I got in too late for the Team Z run, so that's all I have for this week.
For the Horde!
