President Obama is
clearly fed up with Senate Republicans breaking their own obstruction records by refusing a confirmation vote on Loretta Lynch to be attorney general.
President Obama on Friday vented his frustration over the delay in confirming his attorney general pick Loretta Lynch, calling the Senate’s handling of her nomination "embarrassing."
"It's gone too far," Obama said of the Senate "gamesmanship" stalling a confirmation vote. "Enough. Enough. Call Loretta Lynch for a vote." […]
Obama called it a "crazy situation" because senators have not disputed Lynch's qualifications for the post. "What are we doing here?" Obama asked.
"There is no reason for it," he added. "Nobody can describe a reason for it beyond political gamesmanship in the Senate."
Worse than that, McConnell and his leadership team don't even feel like they have to pretend to have a reason. Instead, they're
making a point of being as arrogant and insulting and dismissive as possible, just because they can.
