Way to go, California!
Gov. Jerry Brown has signed a contentious bill to impose one of the strictest school vaccination laws in the country.
Brown says in a statement Tuesday that science clearly shows vaccines dramatically protect children against infectious diseases.
To clarify, this means children living in California are now required to get their vaccinations in order to attend public schools. Unvaccinated kids in California schools will not be required to get vaccinations until their next vaccination checkpoint. Medical exemptions for children with health issues will still be granted.
