It was a momentous month, a month that will be remembered for many decades to come. A month of tears. Tears of grief for the nine beautiful lives lost in Emanuel AME Church. Tears of joy for US Supreme Court rulings that saved ACA subsidies and declared marriage equality the law of the land. Tears of pride as we celebrated the extraordinary activism of Bree Newsome and etched her name in the book of heroes.
Around the blazing torches of these historic events flitted the sparks of many smaller joys, sharp reminders, sassy satire, and lol fun. This diary gives a hat tip to these lesser lights.
