I've never had a bad idea
If you've been hiding from Donald Trump news and have missed his debacle of a presidential campaign, kudos to you. To bring you up to speed: Donald Trump, being Donald Trump, said some super-duper Donald Trumpy type things offending the country of Mexico and as a result, the Don is losing
all kinds of business. This is problematic since Donald Trump's only claim to legitimacy is the
tenuous proof that he is actually a good business man. First Univision severed their ties with Trump. Then NBC. Then Macy's. And now New York City says it needs to take a look at the contracts they
have with Donald.
A spokeswoman for Mayor Bill de Blasio said Wednesday that the review is currently ongoing. The probe follows controversial statements Trump made at his presidential kickoff event last week.

"Donald Trump's remarks were disgusting and offensive, and this hateful language has no place in our city," de Blasio said in a statement Wednesday.
De Blasio's spokeswoman did not provide any further details about the review.
Now, as giddy as all this makes me feel, the fact of the matter is I doubt anything can truly come of this borderline threat from the Mayor's office. If New York City wants to open its contracts with real estate developers to public scrutiny, my guess is things will get a lot more dubious than whatever posh deal Donald Trump has gotten.
